The best colourful houses in London
In this guide I’ll be sharing where to find the best colourful houses in London, and London’s prettiest colourful streets. Whether it’s the pastel townhouses in Notting Hill or the rainbow coloured roads of Kentish Town, exploring these aesthetically pleasing streets is one of my favourite free things to do in London.
Where to find colourful houses in London –
1. Bywater Street, Chelsea
Bywater Street in Chelsea is a must visit if you’re looking for colourful houses in London. It’s filled with cute pastel houses, and – although it’s just off the busy Kings Road in Chelsea – it’s a quiet street that’s a perfect spot for photos.

2.Lancaster Road, Notting Hill
Notting Hill is one of the best parts of London to visit if you’re looking for multi-coloured houses. One of the prettiest rainbow coloured streets in Notting Hill is the lovely Lancaster Road.

3. Chalcot Crescent, Primrose Hill
Primrose Hill is another one of the best areas to visit if you’re looking for London’s prettiest colourful houses. Chalcot Crescent is a picture perfect pastel coloured road that’s definitely one of London’s most instagrammable streets.

4. Kelly Road, Kentish Town
Kelly Street in North London definitely earns its place on the list of 9 of London’s prettiest colourful streets. It’s a very pretty instagrammable street filled with rainbow coloured houses.

5. Portobello Road, Notting Hill
Notting Hill’s most well known street – Portobello Road – is also one of its loveliest. Portobello Road is full of pretty colourful houses, as well as colourful shops & cafes, and the famous Portobello Market.

6. Lansdowne Road, Notting Hill
Another beautiful pastel coloured street in Notting Hill, Lansdowne Road is a perfect instagram spot if you’re looking to photograph London’s most colourful streets.

7. Colville Houses, Notting Hill
You can find these incredibly aesthetically pleasing pastel coloured houses in a quiet residential street, close to Portobello Road.

8. Leverton Street, Kentish Town
Kentish Town in North London is one of the best neighbourhoods to go to if you’re looking for London’s most instagrammable streets, and the pastel houses in Leverton Street are definitely some of it’s prettiest.

9. Hillgate Place, Notting Hill
Hillgate Place is on the border of Notting Hill and Kensington and is another of London’s most instagrammable streets. It’s a gorgeous street in it’s own right, but also has several more pretty colourful streets leading of it, so it’s most definitely worth a visit!

10. Wallgrave Road, Earls Court
Earls Court in London is home to a few hidden gems of gorgeous coloured houses. Just as instagrammable as the pretty pastel houses in Notting Hill, but much quieter – Wallgrave Road is one of the cutest multi-coloured streets in London.

11. Chalcot Square
Chalcot Square is another dream of a street in Primrose Hill, just round the corner from Chalcot Crescent. In the square you’ll find super pretty pastel houses, with a garden square in the middle.

The best places to stay in London to visit the colourful streets
I’d recommend staying in Notting Hill or Chelsea to be close to lots of London’s prettiest colourful houses (and both are beautiful neighbourhoods to stay in.)
