Today I’m sharing the best things to do in Primrose Hill, London – one of the city’s prettiest neighbourhoods. This charming part of North London is home to lovely parks, colourful streets and cute cafes.
The best things to do in Primrose Hill
1. Primrose Hill
Number one on the list of the best things to do in Primrose Hill is visit Primrose Hill. So Primrose Hill is a neighbourhoods in London, but it’s also a park, with a hill. Walk to the top of the hill to be rewarded with amazing panoramic views of London.
The park is a great spot for a picnic, or a little walk and also one of the best places in London to watch the sun go down.
2. Chalcot Crescent
Next up is Chalcot Crescent – a very instagrammable street, with its pretty pastel coloured houses. Any fans of Paddington Bear should also recognise this streets as Paddington’s home in the films. It’s a great little street to explore and take photos of.
3. Chalcot Square
Close by to Chalcot Crescent you’ll find Chalcot Square, another gem of a street in Primrose Hill. This picturesque garden square is surrounded by colourful houses and has to be one of the most covetable streets to live on in London.
4. Regent’s Park
Regent’s Park is one of London’s Royal Parks and it’s such a pretty green space in the city. You can stroll through the park from Primrose Hill and get to Marylebone on the other side.
In the park you’ll find lovely landscaped gardens and a boating lake. If you’re visiting in summer, head to Queen Mary’s Gardens – a beautiful rose garden within the park.
5. Regent’s Canal
Next we have Regent’s Canal. If you’re visiting Primrose Hill, this is a place not to miss. This pretty London waterway winds through the heart of Primrose Hill. Whether you’re walking, cycling or simply enjoying admiring the cute houseboats, the canal offers a perfect peaceful escape from busy London life.
6. Primrose Hill Village
This lovely area is filled with independent cafes and cute boutoques. I think it’s one of the nicest high streets in London. It’s a great little street to explore and then sit and enjoy a drink or brunch at one of the very nice pavement cafes.
7. Little Bread Pedlar
Next on the list of the best things to do in Primrose Hill is Little Bread Pedlar, because I just had to include a delicious bakery on the list. This artisan bakery is known for its seriously good pastires. It’s the ideal place to grab a takeaway coffee and sweet treat to fuel your adventures in Primrose Hill.
8. Regent’s Park Road
Make sure to have a wander along Regent’s Park Road when you’re exploring Primrose Hill. The end of this street is lined with the charming shops and cafes of Primrose Hill village, then further along you’ll find super pretty pastel houses and canal views.
9. Primrose Bakery
Finally we have Primrose Bakery, the perfect place to end up after exploring Primrose Hill. This bakery is famous for its cupcakes, so you should definitely treat yourself to at least one before leaving the neighbourhood!

Once you’re in London, the easiest way to get to Primrose Hill is by tube – hop on the Northern Line and head to Chalk Farm – Primrose Hill is just a couple of minutes away.
